I wouldn’t have one. There is just something creepy about it always listening.

sort of like a spinning widget…after you spin it and it starts to wind down, what do you do?

I’ve 2 echo dots the one in my living room likes to get chatty; the one in the bedroom not so much.

I like to search for answers and do things for myself. I don’t like a listening device always ‘on’ and the promise of the big companies that they are policing themselves and eager to protect my privacy, my data, and any information they can glean from that device.

Since these devices respond when their “name” is spoken, it should be obvious that it is listening, even if (in theory) it is not recording. If it is listening then someone on the other end could do so as well.
