So? Walk a trail of your own, Toby – to the beat of your own drum!

Simple solution to this: When Toby next gets ill, send him to school anyway. “You went to school in short sleeves and got sick, you can go be sick somewhere else.”

My granddaughter couldn’t find her gloves a few mornings ago and it was COLD

I knew where there a clean, although mismatched, pair of gardening gloves

Both were wild and bright colors not unlike the scarf she was wearing

She wears her socks mismatched, on purpose, so I figured if anything she might start a new trend

The high school up the street no longer has lockers, so no place to safely store coats.

Here in North Idaho, I often see kids trudging through a foot of snow in shorts…..usually they have a coat on, though. And, I’m always seeing adult men wearing shorts while shopping – not matter what the weather. They grow them tough up here.

Just remember this when you get sick, along with the other kids.

I am so glad I stopped caring what the other kids thought by the time I was in ninth grade!

Saw a young boy of about 13 wearing shorts earlier this week, with temps in the teens as well. He was clearly uncomfortable, but he was cool. Dumb as paint.
