I did a cruise working an old wooden sailing ship. That’s the way to see the Caribbean. Raising and lowering sails, sleeping in hammocks, hearing the wood creak. Much more fun than a floating hotel
This is why, on the few cruises I’ve been on, I take the stairs. Typically my pedometer credited me with 20 to 30 flights a day. Oh, and I didn’t gain much weight.
Most of the cruises I’ve taken my cabin was on deck 8. Buffet on Deck 15. And my hubby has a walker. Hard to find room in the elevator. But we do manage.

Ralph Drabble, do you in sandals and socks? You are definitely already a mature man with no sense of fashion.

Silly, get on the down elevator and stay on it until it goes up to the floor you want.

But, since they are already on 14 maybe they could walk. And they’re called decks not floors.

If you’re on a ship with an elevator, the ship’s too big.

Looks like it is time to take the stairs.

Notice the sideways head at the top of the lift?

5000 people on a boat. I’ll stick with camping.

This is why I always plan my cabin within a floor of the buffet. Easier to walk a flight of stairs than wait for the few elevators.

I’ve never been on a cruise and I just don’t see the appeal.

And that is the way the big ships are around mealtime and on boarding and disembarking.

Buffet on the 15th deck, that’s gonna make the ship top heavy.
On another note, I can tell the fire drills are gonna get complicated.

You mean 15th deck, Ralph.

Walk up to the 15th floor. I am sure there are stairs somewhere.

Taking the stairs would be good for you, Ralph.
