    I’m not sure I get it…why is he brown in the last panel? Or is that a colorist’s mistake?

    It’s all Rover – compare the first and last panels. What is misleading is that there’s no hint of sunset in the sky coloring of the next to last panel as Rover leaves the house to rejoin the chase.
