Must be why we do NOT see the family having dinner out very much… it is NOT fun to be out with someone who will nitpick the H#LL out of things such as this…

Based on my mother. Not only will she complain about her restaurant meals, but also the meals of everyone with her.

I frequently feel the same way.

After we’d finished a very forgettable dinner in what purported to be an upscale restaurant, the waiter who been scarce the entire meal ( the busboy served the meal ), glided to our table, the bill in hand, and asked: " Now, did we find everything to our satisfaction ? "

To which I, in turn, asked: " Was that a rhetorical question ? "

I deliberately left a 1% gratuity for the invisible, obsequious waiter and in front of the restaurant manager generously tipped and thanked the busboy who’d done all the work .

Needless to say, we never went there again.

If the food is that bad, the restaurant will close soon. If other people like the food, it will stay in business.

First, note the hilarity of EVERY MEMBER of the family obviously ordering the SAME MEAL! I’ve hardly ever seen that, even in a “prix fixe menu” restaurant. Secondly, “Tia Carmen” is much too polite and well-mannered to ever insult a locale in such a way, so the only way this works is if the waitress is the daughter of an “old friend” and this was intended as a gentle joke.
