I usually avoid looking at the comments for any comic that deals with or mentions global warming because of the stupid comments that inevitably follow from global warming deniers. However, this is one consequence of global warming that those idiots absolutely cannot deny – the retreat of glaciers is abundantly documented, and strikingly easy to see, worldwide.
Just wait. Someone will inevitably point out the ice cap that has been reported as ‘rebuilding itself’ and call it the proof that global warming is fading or non-existent. Doesn’t matter that scientists think that the rebuild is a sign of something worse.
And, as an aside, I think the term global climate change is a stronger term than global warming, which seems to focus attention on just one aspect of a growing world problem.
Soooo, if the glaciers are rebuilding themselves, that means more ice, which seems to mean that things aren’t as warm as predicted. Please give the “xx% of scientists agree crap” a rest. Not that long ago, atoms were the smallest piece of matter. When meteorologists can’t predict tomorrow’s weather, why do we need to believe faulty computer models about 20 years from now? Also, whether or not there is warmer or cooler “climate change”, the causal anthropogenic aspect of it is far from proven.
I believe it total hog wash myself, sure the climate is changing. I know in just my short 71 years I have seen the weather change about ever seven years. And the fact is, we can not do a thing to stop it, the universal way things are, we can’t change the way the earth is aging no more than I can change the fact that I’m getting old. Global Warming, Climate Change, no matter what you call it, is nothing more than letting the governments of the world collect more tax money. Have a nice day you snowflakes out there, don’t forget your sun block, and green glasses.
