There is no story like a Cap’t Eddie story.

I love a story that starts with ‘my certain death’ being told by the person who didn’t die. Guaranteed happy ending.

Great stuff but it’s not thick enough. Having been there and knowing what it’s like I promise you it has to be a lot, lot thicker. You can almost understand it. Oh, and the accent isn’t quite heavy enough either.

and he’s only drinking coffee at this point of the story.

It’s epic, if merely from the perspective of the pusses’ perfect perch.

Love how no matter what happens, the cat stays on his shoulder. Maybe it’s stuffed and sewn or velcroed on.

Does she ever put down that coffeepot?

Yea, you can’t rush Eddie and his stories (otherwise he just may start over if he looses his place)!

I really hope Joe writes down Eddie’s stories. They’d make a heck of a book.

That cat has to be the most imperturbable creature!

The whole thing may be a useful metaphor when considering, or having to endure, the ponderous tale of the Nebbish.

Don’t keep us in suspense, Mr. Wiley, does he ever get rescued?

I’m glad to see someone knows how to use neither/nor instead of either/or.

I love that it’s a scraggly dead pine tree (or something) instead of a palm. No palm trees in Maine.

I’ve been wishing Danae and Cap’n Eddie (and, of course, Paulie and Lucy!) would have an adventure together. But neither Maine nor the universe may be big enough for that……..

Oh, I’ll bet this’ll be a good one.

He ran his boat aground on a mud flat 50 feet away from the Dock.

Paulie’s always finding something more interesting over the back.

The fishing stories are the best. I would like to see more stories with the characters at that coffee shop.

I love how he writes the accent. Once I translate it, I can hear it in my head!
