We have a possum on our property. We put food out at the edge of the woods for him. We want him to stay around. Among other things possums eat ticks. Pete, as we call him, is friendly with our cat.
Playing Opossum. Hog snakes do it to. They roll over on their back showing their corpse pale bellies. If you should flip them back on their stomachs they will return to the belly up position. Hog nose snakes are harmless.
