this is becoming quite the hobby already

When does she get to buy herself a toy John?

John must have had some kind of LOCO MOTIVE in order to buy that train. Let’s hope that Ellie doesn’t kick him out by the CABOOSE.;-D

This is a hobby that Lynn Johnston’s ex-husband had and still has. If you look on-line at the pictures of his dental practice, there are a lot of model trains in the waiting room.

LOL! Do they have a room with enough room for the whole thing?

Did he buy the “Casey Jones” hat too? ;-)

Trains are cool!

Well, there goes the family room, it’s about to become a train station.

I love trains!!!

Not too much more expensive than a red sports car.

Isn’t he the one that complained about the cost of a kitchen redo? Isn’t eating more imprtant?

Must be ‘O’ gauge from the size of the boxes.

Been there. Different hobby, but been there.

This the best part of this comic strip except for Maybe wedding that way down line

Going to take over the basement is he? I discovered a few guys who got together every week and had about 100 foot long, about 10 feet high massive train set. They had it set up in a mall storefront, always new stuff. They even had a model train yard. Several trains running on different levels all at the same time. All computer controlled. Very involved hobby

He’ll never get them all in the house. They keep on multiplying and that’s not a bad thing. Can’t think of a better way to enjoy leisure time or retirement.

And here it starts. I remember following this when it originally ran. There was one spectacular Sunday on it.
