I never understand why bad guys in this comic have a gun on Rip, but choose to use it as a club. Besides, it’s not Rip’s head you need to worry about. It’s his knuckles.
I know that “pistol whipping” is a thing but using the grip of a semiautomatic pistol as a blunt instrument always seemed like a bad idea to me. I’d be afraid of either damaging the pistol of throwing something out of alignment.

On the Mohs scale, the front of his head is a 10, but the back of his head is only a 9.

I’m beginning to think he likes the sound of the Ka-konk. It’s the only explanation i can think of why he keep getting hit on the back of the head.
