You don’t have to create a cure, you just have to make people think that it’s a cure.

Look for something people need, then fill the need. A few years ago, a teenage girl in England noticed that people in China like to give their children Americanized names—and some of the kids were being named Cinderella and Gandalf. She started a website to offer a short list of more normal names, and the characteristics associated with each name. She made enough to pay for her college education. Gotta love it.

All it takes is the right idea and the nerve to push it.

When people mention talent, they often think of something that is innate. Skills are honed (this takes us all the way back to the practice strips with Caulfield a few days ago… :)

His Talent is being able to tell the difference. But it takes Skill to be able to use that talent to avoid getting sick himself and potentially spreading that bug to others.

I am my own boss, and I love being an unreasonable one sometimes. “Draw sounds,” says Boss Jef (el Jefe, perhaps); “Okay,” says employee Jef. It’s a skill. Though not a fortune. But it’s a living, and that’s better.
