I’ve worked since I was 11, paid off my house and cars, saved enough to retire on, now I’m going to enjoy spoiling the grandkids.

It’s 12:43 am, been trying to sleep since 9:00 pm yesterday.

This strip always makes me glad I’m single.

How did he get married since he does not know what to do ?

If that’s the case… I’m “semi-retired” (I do whatever my beloved wants me to do after I get home from work!) =-)

Maybe the ‘wife’ knows that you need to keep busy even when you retire — or maybe the ‘wife’ would like to retire, too. She’s still cooking and cleaning and grocery shopping — all the grunt work that needs to get done around a home. And she probably has a book club or quilting group or volunteer activity — something that she goes to on a regular basis. Spoiling grandchildren is not a full-time activity — they’re in school much of the time — and, based on my experience and observation — it’s still the ‘wife’ who does most of the grandchild work (school pickups, driving to swimming lessons and after-school activities, babysitting when they’re sick, etc.). Don’t wait till retirement to find something to do with your time — try a few things out before hand, find some local activities to get involved in (surprise, surprise, there are 16 hours a day, 7 days a week that will be at your disposal). Staying active, being involved is what makes retirement fun.

So let it be written…so let it be done.

I didn’t retire. I’m just under new management…… ;)

I’m almost busier now than before I retired. So much to do and so little time.

Only works sometimes….

When you’re caring for someone, you never retire.

AT LEAST THERE ARE NO DEADLINES!!
