True, Snoopy, but by the same token, a whole stack of hopes will never match a single memory.
When I watched my mom decline & pass from Alzheimer’s, when all hope was gone, I still had many wonderful memories of good times together.
The apostle Paul, 1st Corinthians 13:13 – “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”
Hopes and dreams will drive us. Memories will sustain us.
Snoopy, you’ve just redeemed yourself for “It was a dark and stormy night.”
Me too, Snoopy
it was a dark and stormy night -—- suddenly a shot rang out -—— my stack of memories did not equal one little hope of rescue
Me too
“Hope is a thing with feathers…” Was Emily Dickinson thinking of Woodstock?
I think you got it backwards.
The text in panel one would make a great book title. Looking it up, on Amazon, shows Schulz put out a book by that very title on Mar. 1, 1981.
How profound.
Let me ponder that one for awhile.
