I’ll order one cheese and onion toasted sandwich, please … mmm!

Awesome, sounds so much better that the pretentious rubbish most of the master chefs produce. Even if they attempted a grilled cheese sandwich it would be flavored with truffle oil and garnished with a sprig of parsley.

He’s even franchised it.

No doubt made with white bread and that yellow slime packaged in slices separated by plastic.

It comes down to giving the people what they want…

Making the perfect grilled cheese does take time. grill or skillet has to be at the right temperature so the cheese and the bread cook at the same rate. You want a nicely browned bread with ooey, gooey cheese. M-m-m. My husband’s preference is American cheese with turkey. I prefer grilled provolone with turkey. If I have American, I have to have ham.

Another favourite is cheese,

capsicum (bell pepper),

onion,

potato cake (scallop – a big battered slice of potato)

and another slice of cheese – all grilled to perfection inside a toasted sandwich :-)

Grilled Cheese sandwiches are great with tomatoes.
