    if 1/3 or more of this country is “obese”, either we’ve gotten a lot shorter, or the average adult mass is a good bit heavier than 140.I have not weighed 140 since 10th grade.

    This reminds me of the episode of the anthology series Monsters called “Stressed Environment” where a behavioral scientist has been accelerating the intelligence of the little buggers by testing them to destruction till they learned too much and escape. Not before we see one standing on its hind legs and waving a weapon it had made. And killing the people involved in their creation. Evolution works the fastest in a changing and violent environment.
