What happened to Jimbo’s Kite?

Corky is taking one last moment to protect his investment. Jimbo decided that while kite flying was fun, being friends with a guy who owned a flying model was better.

Three words: kite-eating tree. Right, Charlie Brown??? Can I get an “Aaauuugh”?

I’ve flown r/c, may again for the grandson. I remember a story about a party conversation from a club member. He and his wife were talking to a non-modeler, the non asked “How many of his planes has he crashed?” The wife looked at him incredulously, and replied " All of them!"

If he’s this way about the airplane, hate to see what he’s going to be like when Mimi gets older!

Just as you need to let your children ‘fly on their own’, so with your plane. We all have accidents, but learn from them.When I solo-ed, I didn’t think I was ready but had been told that my instructor would not let me fly if he didn’t think I was ready. Remembered that and did a perfect take-off and landing. Never stopped after that.

I found an RC plane in one of my trees a few years ago.

They look some what inexperienced to me. What could go wrong?

One hit for model airplane launch success: make sure the engine is running. And for heaven’s sake let Jimbo do the running and launching, since we all know the flight is doomed with him at the controls.
