Mom managed to ruin a perfect summer’s day.

Hobbes has clearly had enough of Calvin’s attitude here.

I forgot how often Calvin whines, kinda like ‘you know who…’

Expecting highs of 106ºF today in my city. Last night at 9 PM it was still 86 out there. I’ll be sitting under the ceiling fan listening to Arctic winds and rippling rivers on Youtube to cool down.

Calvin should be used to be thrown out of the house by now. I hope he is because he gets thrown out (literally) again in tomorrow’s reprint.

Fun is no fun when your forced to have it.

Why would Calvin ruin perfectly good complaints with something like fun?

Couldn’t help myself – giggled out loud at this one.

Some people are just bound and determined to be unhappy and have something to complain about.

This kid’s mood swings are incredible. Sometimes he has more imagination than 10 kids and sometimes he just mopes around complaining about everything.

Hobbes is ruining a really good pity party. Don’t you hate that? I did, when I was a kid. Still do, sometimes. OK, more often than I’d like to admit.

Sounds like Calvin got up on wrong side of the bed! Nothings going to make him happy.

Now I wonder why she would do a thing like that….?

Just imagine if Calvin had a smart phone.

When daughter and I was walking dogs we are happy for shade, as our temps be close to 100°.

Most 6 year olds don’t get to play outside by themselves any more. There’s usually a parent hovering nearby, dampening the fun. Sad.

I suddenly realized that even kids have hormonal bad days.

I’d have the lights off too..
