This is hilarious. One time Blossom got up on one of the dining chairs, like she often does, and she was facing away from me with her tail hanging down. So I tried to see if I could hold it, and my finger just barely touched the fur on the tip, but she whipped right around and smacked my hand like, âNO!â She didnât even bother with the claws; it was like she was just scolding me!
Great news on Skywalker! (Unless my sister dreamed it, since it was the middle of the night lol) My sister surprised Skywalker exploring the bathroom last night. Little girl was walking! My sister isnât sure how steady she is, since she crouched & hid immediately, but she was using all four legs at the time.
Poor Pucky, always in the middle. Perhaps he is Switzerland?
On another matterâŠGiblet saw the Kitten, Belle, with her back to him in the middle of the room. He crouched down real low, whiskers all fluffed out, wiggled his butt, and jumped at the Kittenâs unprotected back. I think the Kitten is a Jedi in training. Before Giblet could get there, Belle had leapt straight up at least 3 feetâŠlanded away from GibletâŠand tore out of the room like a lightening bolt. Giblet missed completely.
To add insult to the situation, Belle proceeded to come back into the room like the aforementioned lighting bolt and bounce off poor Giblets ample rear end. She came to a stop several feet away and looked back at Giblet with a look of mischief and pity. Giblet then retired to the bed where he sulked under his blankie and did not leave until dinner. He even skipped afternoon Tea.
Kittens, Giblet said afterwords, are tricky little buggers.
No wonder Elvis is so often cranky! He is besieged by grabby paws fronts! He looked so happy yesterday as he was settling in for a nap, complete with cookie breeze.
About a year ago at the cat colony that I help out at, I saw this vulture (yes, where I live there are vultures) slowly sneaking up on Jeffery. Jeffery is a beautiful, LARGE, primarily gray with white on paws and face. He can have very intense looks. Anyway, This vulture is sneaking up on Jeffery and I tell everyone around me whatâs about to happen. One of the people there actually filmed it. The vulture reaches down with itâs beak and gets Jeffery on the tip of his tail! Man, what a jump! We were all laughing for quite some time afterwards. Oh, the look we got from Jeffery because no one warned him. :-) Still brings a smile to my face when I think about it.
Love Elvis protectively holding his poor tail in panel 2, and oh, that FACE! Reminds me of when he held his tail when Puck (was it Puck?) had his tail stepped on, accidently of course.
Getting caught up as yesterday got away from me and I didnât get around to reading my comics. My brain is a little fuzzy today, but I donât remember this one. However, I didnât see any comments saying it was new, so Iâm really doubting my memory.
Looking for the power of our Orbster family â just back from the vet, Fido (<<<)diagnosed with UTI, bladder stones, dehydration. Got some antibiotics, return visit in a week, but basic prognosis is not the best. Doc said that at his age (12 on July 1), surgery is possible but with âlimited success expectedâ. Weâll keep him home and comfy for now. Sorry for the buzz-kill under this great strip.
One of my favorite scenes in âMrs. Miniverâ is when they are spending the night in the shelter in the garden, and the children have just fallen asleep when the bombs start to fall. The young boy is holding the catâs tail in his sleep, and when he starts to be disturbed by the noise, he sighs a little and holds the tail tighter. The cat (a magnificent actor) is awake, and when s/he feels the little tug s/he looks over at the boy, but does nothing to remove the tail from his grasp. A beautiful relationship caught in a few short feet of film.

In fairness to Lupin (even though he doesnât really deserve it), a tail dropping into view presents an irresistible temptation.

Lupin is just like my saucy, mischievous, adventurous little âwest side girlâ. Sheâs a bit of a brat but we can forgive her anything.
