I sold all my vinyl in garage sales when cassettes came on the scene. I’ll be damned if I am going to buy back hundreds of records! (And, by the way, doesn’t Betty’s hubby have Led Zeppelin on 8-track for his car? That was a MUST in high school).
I’ll take CDs over albums mainly because I listen to mostly classical music. No fun having to get up in the middle of a Beethoven symphony to have to flip over the record. And don’t even think about trying to listen to a Wagner opera on vinyl.
I used all of my vinyl 45 rpm records as targets to sight in my hunting rifle and scope. The hole in the center of the 45 was exactly the diameter of the aim point for my scope. If the record did not shatter on impact of the round I knew I had the windage/elevation and bullet weight allowances perfect for that day. A miss for me was a broken record.

There is a vinyl resurgence among us older folk and young ones too. I like my digital perfection.

Bon Jovi is best played on 8-track in an AMC Pacer.

My old double album covers still have seeds in the crease.
