Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
If more people did this, we might actually have decent TV.
Of course out of the 299 channels I get, over 200 of them are infomercials anyway (mostly for the Shark vacuum) â and I get to pay for the privilege.
Itâs interesting how many people, who answer similarly to Hobbes, donât seem to be able to do that themselves when itâs something they donât like.
There you go. Make your voice heard, or at least your words read. If the powers that be donât know you are unhappy they will just keep doing what they are doing. If that doesnât work, simply turn the channel.
I feel like this situation is totally reversed in the youtube age, with advertisers pulling their support away from the company because they object to the stuff the users make.
It is one thing to quit watching a program that one finds objectionable. If enough people quit watching a program they might just cancel the program. However, by writing the sponsors, oneâs views can be presented in a way that future programs will not have the objectionable portions. However, this does not work when the producers of the program donât care about viewer input as much as their wanting to reshape society by using the media to desensitise us to things that we consider morally wrong.
Just what âprogressivesâ like to do these days to shows they donât like- Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingram, Rush Limbaugh- all target of the most self-righteous people known to man!!

The right word is âobjectionable.â (But itâs a big word for Calvin, of courseâŠ)

Since this strip is copyrighted 1989, if heâs survived into adulthood, Calvin must be overjoyed with current TV offerings.

Calvin and Watterson, usually so articulate. I believe the conventional usage is âobjectionable,â not âobjectional.â Still, funny as ever.

âBoycottâ? Sounds sexist. Why no âgirlcottâ?
