Do the people on that Island go on the internet so they can read Ripley’s Believe it or Not?

Take care and may God bless.

So the Tristan da Cunha islanders only pay their monthly bills once a year along with junk mail in the mix?

Tristan may be further away from any type of land; but if you don’t include other islands, Hawaii is much further.

Did Pete’s subjects want their teeth worked on or was he just another royal weirdo?

As I understand, Peter the Great’s practice of dentistry wasn’t always voluntary. That is, for his subjects.

I read a fascinating story (on-line for free) about a Missionary couple that lived there about a hundred years ago. A tough life on that island then to be sure!

Tristan da Cunha may not have received a postal code until 2005, but according to this site they already had a post office. They started issuing stamps in 1952.
