“Why had he ever agreed to the cooking pot episode?” Indeed, we all know how that would end. Good thing you have your classic wheels, Chicken.

I love survivor, and I thought the chickens were set free…

After 39 weeks with nothing to eat, that chicken wouldn’t even make it as far as a cooking pot.

Maybe comics should tell us when there are prerequisites for getting the joke. But then, in a way it did.

Do you have to watch Survivor to get this joke? I have never watched that show (okay, I watched about 10 minutes of the very first episode, then never watched it again).

Today is Buy a Musical Instrument Day. Too bad, I’m not musically inclined. I envy people who can play the piano. I just don’t have the hand/eye coordination to do that. I don’t even type with both hands.

I don’t get this one at all. When can we go back to the warehouse? People seem to like the car though.

Is it my age? Or has this page passed my comprehension because I just don’t get today’s beautifully drawn panel. Sorry Graham.

The joke in a nutshell. SURVIVOR is a reality TV show. Probst is the host/narrator/resident sadist. Very hungry people are on an island, and they are trying to outlast each other to win big bucks. Live chickens are given to the winners of a challenge. The camera pans away to avoid the bloodshed. Viewers have no problem watching people starving to death and being cruel to each other, but the chickens being killed upset them. The show never does this stunt again, to my knowledge.

This comic is worth it just for the brilliant drawing/painting of the car. What talent that we don’t usually get to see (the cats are cute, but cartoons). Wonderful.

This must be one of the ‘lesser creatures’.

My musical skills don’t go too far beyond an off-key kazoo.

And they were promised a chicken in every pot, until the chickens got their driver’s licenses.

I don’t think this is a photo. I have seen cars drawn and painted like this. I think Graham would have the artistic capability to do this.
