Did the police chase her through the car wash? Did a police officer lean out the window with his gun and then lose the gun to the spinning brush things?
An acquaintance of mine is a police officer. On a nice day, he’d order his lunch, and park his patrol car conspicuously under an overpass in the shade with his windows open. He had at tall plastic coffee mug (the kind with a top designed for car use). We would sit there with his now-empty mug, hold it up by the handle and point the bottom at passing cars.
He didn’t have a radar gun, since he was not on traffic duty, but the mug worked just as well.
Today’s strip invites some interesting questions: was she speeding IN the car wash, or was she speeding on the street, and tried to HIDE in the car wash? And..how fast was she going?
Did not get a ticket, but did get chased down for an illegal Power Display when trying to impress the other guys there with their cars and trucks while leaving a car wash. The Officer saw me and tried to chase me down but before he could turn around and catch me I was already parked at home and out of the Truck. I was playing around ( Young and Dumb ) showing off all the way home. Driving my 1968 Ford F100 with a modified 1971 police interceptor 429ci,Accel ignition, etc. and C6 trans,Headers and 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust flowing thru Turbo Mufflers and Limited Slip Rear Axle in it. “Rattle Can” paint job.( It would burn up the tires and was Fast.) The Officer pulled up in my driveway, got out shaking his head and the first thing he asked me was " What the HE— have you got in that truck ? " Then he got on to me for the illegal power display and reckless driving. This was in Overton,Texas a small town around 1978. He said he could not catch up to me and had chased me all the way . He Loved my Truck. He ended up giving me a warning, legally I was parked on private property and out of the truck when he arrived,no dash cam in those days. I apologized and we became good friends. Much simpiler times back then and Small Town relationships. ( I lived on the edge of town so I did not go thru any residential or busy streets, still Dumb though.) You-all be Safe and Have a Good Day!

In retrospect…..She must have put it in high gear when the brushes came at her….after she saw a cop behind her….after she ran a stop sign….

Yes, and there’s no point fighting it – it’s a soapin’ and shut case!
