Yang was under most conditions the sweetest, gentlest cat that ever lived, but it didnāt take us long to learn not to get him any toys with bells in them, because heād eviscerate them before you could even get out of the room.
Iāve had dogs for 65 years and have never had a dog like that. The one I have now even has hand-me-down toys from two previous dogs. I have to stitch them up from time to time because she likes to plays tug-of-war with them and they get holes, but thatās it.
We have several toys that have toys inside them. The dogs can rip the little toys out, which satisfies their desire to eviscerate small critters. Each of the small toys has a squeaky. Stump: squirrels, Platypus: eggs, Cow:spotted eggs.
My dachshunds have a whole BIG box of toys. The female destroys toys in seconds, the male plays with them forever and never destroys even one. But then, he has the brain of a door knob. She has a huge prey drive.
I bought an āindestructableā toy for my friendsā dog. She said it lasted in under a minute. Then, one day in Tractor Supply, I found these leather toys in the shapes of animals. I sent a few to her and the dog LOVED them.(that dog passed away about 4 months ago) There were no squeakers and the dog loved to chew on them but couldnāt destroy them. Now, her new dog is enjoying them.
We got a āguaranteed indestructibleā fake bone for our beagle/terrier (berrier? teagle?). Three months later, we had to take it away before it got small enough he might swallow it.

Amateur. My āJaws of Deathā (85 lb. pit bull) would have that toy chewed up much faster than that.

I get the monthly Bark Box, with 2 toys and treats for my 3 dogs. Squeakers are out in minutes, but it is the happiest minutes of the month!
