Actually, if you are wound too tight, you actually WILL “go off”. And no one wants to be around you when you do.

if you’re wound too tight you’re more likey to ‘go off’

That’s strange – most of the tightly-wound people I know go “off” regularly!

If a person is wound too tight eventually he or she will go off.
