Apparently so do dogs. I like the way Roscoe only wakes up when Earl begis speaking.

I have a theory that while men are descended from monkeys, women are descended from magpies.

If you need proof, look how excited they get about shiny rocks.

Hearing aides are a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing sometimes to hear what’s being said. It’s a curse sometimes to hear what’s being said.

Selective sight is essential to a marriage’s survival if one of the couple is tidy and the other is…not…

We don’t lose our hearing, we just get better at filtering out non-essential noise.

I think Roscoe is the brains of the family, and he opens his eyes because he can’t believe what bizarre thing his humans are going to say next

My wife, who’s spent a decade or more berating me for not getting hearing aids, is now getting deaf. She owns hearing aids, but won’t wear them (much), preferring to cup her hand over an ear to hear the TV and to play “Earl” in conversations w/ me. It’s kind of funny how much the roles are reversing.

Oddly this makes total sense to me. Since my mom has to wear glasses and my dad has to use hearing aids

More like a hypothesis, Earl. And it affects both sexes.
