As an ex-lifeguard who has had to have several severe melanomas removed I will once again extol the use of sunscreen and moderation – let’s be careful out there people.
What I don’t understand is the extreme overreaction — we went from “the darker the better” to bundling up like Petey Otterloop (Cul de Sac) overnight!
Back in the 50’s/60’s we didn’t care. No one thought about getting old or getting cancer. We slathered the Coppertone suntan OIL on and burned like we were in frying pans. And I was an avid water skiier. Glad to say I’m 70 and still cancer and anything else free. Sure didn’t figure I’d live this long!!
50 years after my mother last virtually forced me out of the house to “get some sun” I’m finally moved from having pre-cancerous things cut off to the real thing being removed next week.

Why is she taking a bikini top? She wants tan lines? (Probably be the topic on the strip tomorrow.)
mywifeslover almost 6 years ago
As Arlo said on a prior occasion… tan lines highlight the more interesting parts!

Has he tried before?

Why would he?

With Janis in such a defiant frame of mind, Arlo should forbid her to sunbathe nude!

Arlo: “Dry skin, wrinkles, skin cancer. You can buy pretty good color in a bottle, but it is your choice.”
Dani Rice almost 6 years ago
There is no such thing as a “healthy tan”. All suntans are a sign of skin damage. And as, Q4hourse pointed out, it’s bad for you in other ways.

Why would Janis think that Arlo would try to stop her. He’s been waiting since the spring equinox for BIKINI DAY!!!
ScullyUFO almost 6 years ago
Because the sun is so bad for us, how did we survive up to the point in time when clothes were invented?
William Bednar Premium Member almost 6 years ago
I would have liked to hear Arlo reply: “Ok. Why don’t you just go nude? No fish belly that way.”

She’ll wear the top but no bottom?

I can’t, I won’t, I wouldn’t.

The only thing he might try to stop her from doing is wearing the top.

Janis’ fixation with tanning has been a rich source for gags over the years.
