Hopefully Diet Smith’s tech installed an OS for Tracy’s department computers that makes finding such info ridiculously easy. Otherwise the team is going to be using a lot of old fashioned “shoe leather.”
Okay, so Trixie and Gypsy go on a big shopping trip to Tracyville while “Daddy” Warbucks is off (fill in the blank here). They both witness BB Eyes kill someone. A person sees Trixie fleeing the scene, but for some reason not Gypsy. So Trixie comes forward while Gypsy goes into hiding with a local relative. Trixie tries to call Warbucks, but cannot be reached and so she contacts his lawyer, who quickly hurries to Tracyville while Trixie stays in her hotel room overnight.
The next day, the lawyer arrives. In order to allow Trixie to leave town, the DA’s office and Trixie’s lawyer agree have her sworn testimony taken that day, with the promise of returning for the trial. Under oath, Trixie reveals that there was another witness – Gypsy. Trixie doesn’t know anything about who Gypsy’s relatives are or where they live, and Gypsy hasn’t contacted Trixie yet. Trixie is free to go and leaves town. The next day, BB Eyes is reported as dead and so Gypsy comes out of hiding. The police and DA’s office consider the case closed. Gypsy and Trixie reunite at the Warbucks home.
1- I just awarded myself another gold star for meritorious behavior. So from now on call me General Chief. 2- Another gold star for nothing? That took a big pair of brass… 3- …Help me out. What’s the word I’m looking for here? It’s brass something. Knuckles? No, that’s not it…
Uhh, what footwork? The MCU at this point has no idea whom they seek. So, what footwork, I repeat? First, they need to comb through their own records and computer files, and then maybe The Daily’s archives or “morgue” to try to find the name of the person. Then, and only then, it will be time for footwork.
I feel sad that I seem to be turning into a grumpy Objector, but the illogic here in this arc grates on my Vulcan wannabe-genes….

Good morning™ back at the station!
So, Gypsy also witnessed the murder. Tracy has his work cut out for him, but Gypsy should be easier to find than Trixie.

From one of those clips from 1932 LOA, it seems that Gypsy was quite an admirer of Daddy Warbucks. Is there a romance in the offing?
