I’d bet Phoebe’s shadow gave Marigold’s shadow an idea for a prank on Marigold( and possibly Phoebe too with stealing her cupcake) by not returning to her right away.

Do they have a light side? Interesting question. Without light, there are no shadows. In fact, a shadow is simply the absence of light.
