By the way, found an old Erma Bombeck book at and old neighbour friends. Gawd! She was a funny writer. Could you imagine any of her books being converted to comic form?
Wait a minute, thatās a guys line. Iāve never heard a woman say that about something in the fridge. LOL Seriously though, itās not time to throw it out until itās fighting you.
While I do save leftovers, if you canāt remember when they were put in there, throw āem out. Sometimes thereās icky bacteria swimming in there without the mold to let you know theyāre there.
I swear I have had this exact same conversation with my husband. I HATE throwing out food, or much of anything else for that matter because it ācould be useful somedayā. My hubby is into daily fridge cleaning.
You canāt eat anything two nights in a row. If itās still there after two nights, itās too old to eat. When I was working I used to take leftovers for lunch. If it was good the night before, it still tastes good at lunch the next day. No point in cooking enough for two meals at one time in this house.
WebSpider: Erma Bombeck is one of my favorites, too. I bought a hard back edition of four of her books in one called āFour of a KIndā at an estate sale. Also have beat up stained copy of her āI Hate to Cook Bookā with easy recipes, written with wittiness between the recipes.
We rarely have leftovers in our house but if I came across something in my refrigerator that I couldnāt identify then it would have to be thrown out ā moldy or not!
