My old Volkswagen had a kick-down lever that gave you about 10 more miles after it ran out.

In my experience, the prices at the grocery stores that offer gas rewards are generally higher than other stores. You end up spending more money on the higher-priced groceries than you save at the gas pump.

A couple years back, gas was unusually low and we had a $1.05/gal. discount. Ended up at $0.89/gal!

My uncle read the rules. There was a $1 max discount and 50 gallon limit. When he got the discount points, they would show up and fill all of the cars and several 5 gallon gas cans until they got to 50 gallons.
