When my young nephew and his buddy broke my patio window while horseing around (right in front of me…there was no denying it), I just told them that accidents happen, and today was the day they were going to learn how to fix a broken window. Showed them how to remove the broken glass, clean out the old putty and measure the window…took them to the hardware store to buy a new pane, putty, putty knife and glazier’s points. Then I showed them what to do, stepped back and let them do it. They actually enjoyed fixing it! #coolauntieforthewin

I was named after my father, so my mother couldn’t call me all three names — my father would have thought she was yelling at him instead of me.
