Duffy is trying to feed Wally more than a sammich. Wally is going to see right thru Duffy. You can’t BS an expert. But Wally knows an opening when he sees one.

I bet he has a couple of Dittos in his sock next to the switchblade.

I’m surprised that Kirbee is calmly feeding Duff sandwiches after he put her darling Chick in danger. She knows, right? after their encounter outside the grocery.

Duffy: “But, yeah, there is that.”

What kind of animal is Duffy? Looks like a lion’s tale, but the face doesn’t seem to match.

Irony: Duffy and Wally with sandwiches; Go Comics has placed an ad for Jimmy John’s catering – and platters of sandwiches!

We know Aaron Neathery isn’t one to leave things sitting on the window sill. Which brings to mind something that is sitting on the window sill.

So Duffy knows that he isn’t human, and he’s aware that Wally isn’t either. They’ve both pierced the veil.
