….after YEARS of paying for a policy that should pay for my final years ‘in a home’ after my Medicare runs out, (after seeing several aunts and relatives ‘turning themselves in’ after giving up everything they owned) I find that I could have put the money into my own fund that would have paid better for what months I’ve got left to use up air and water… Them Insurance Guys will flatter you into anything, it seems.. Grrrrr !

I always tell the elders living alone I work with to make plans or help their children make them or they will be made FOR them.

The first thing our financial advisor (which isn’t as fancy as it sounds) told us was to buy Long Term Care insurance. My sister and brother-in-law had it, and when Lynn developed ALS after a severe fall, they were darned glad they did!

Assisted Living is one of the better ideas that have come along – responsibility from all chores, your own apartment, full maid service, three meals a day(with table cloths), outings, nightly entertainment, no mowing or shoveling snow.

Assisted Living ? I am 63 yrs.old and that’s what I have been in all this time ? I thought is was called poverty,We are so poor we can’t even afford to pay attention. But we have grown used to it and there are others with nothing that can still Smile and be Happy. This makes us feel Blessed and Happy too.
