Oh, that brings back memories! There was a book when I was very young titled Are You My Daddy? I think it was about all kinds of animal families.

Reminds me of a children’s easy reader book called, “Are You My Mother?” where a little bird falls out of his nest and tries to find his mother, mistaking other creatures for his mother and even mistaking a construction machine (he calls a “Snort” and whose real name also escapes me at the moment). One of my favorite early-reader books.

Dr Seuess had a book called ARE YOU MY MOTHER? ..I must have read it hundreds of times to my kids while they were young.
