I turned from the stove and gave her A Look. She said she was serious. And she was about 30 then. Wow, how can anyone get to 30, never having minced garlic???
When I worked as an information operator in the seventies, I once got a call from a guy who wanted to know how to mince an onion. I told him that wasn’t the kind of information we were there for, that we just looked up phone numbers. He said, “Well, you’re a female… I figured you would know!”
