How cute! I love seeing Mama birds with their babies! My high school had a little courtyard and we had a couple of duckies there. They had babies and were following Mama around wherever she went.
I know, huh? I saw a video of a male turkey in the middle of the road with it’s tail flared out. He just stood there stopping traffic while the other turkeys crossed the road. As soon as they were safely on the other side, he followed them and traffic resumed. Animals are amazing.
There used to be a duck pond in out neighborhood. Geese regularly crossed the road stopping traffic and making drivers angry. I loved it. The city filled in the pind last year. Couldn’t afford to maintain it.
You just made me think about the summer when I was 8 (I think). We visited mom’s parents in Arlington, VA, and my cousin who lived close by took the time to teach little country girl me how to jaywalk.
She should have take lessons from these ducks.
But the things she taught me turned out to be useful later in life – traffic lights are few and far between in the country.

How about a blackbird making a flying sharp right-turn at a cross-section with the lights green?
Yes; I’ve seen that.

They did it on purpose. They wanted you to get video so they could show it to their friends and then brag about it.
