Reminds me of a Robin Williams line: "My kidā€™s gonna do to me what I did to my father. Heā€™ll look me straight in the eye and say, ā€˜God, Dad, youā€™re f___ed. And my father will be standing right behind him going, ā€˜Yes! Yes! Revenge is mine!ā€™ "

Should I feel left out if my kids were really fun to raise? There were very few moments I didnā€™t enjoy.

I mentioned this to my mother MANY years ago and long after I was an adult and she swore she never said that she hoped I had kids just like me. I remember it like it was yesterday and that may have been part of why I was never interested in having children. BTW, Mom passed several years ago and I am still childless and have no regrets about it. :-)

It is the same when the Aunts and Uncles with no kids give gifts and THEN have kids. The revenge gifts start coming ā€œLouderā€ than the ones you gave.

Friendsā€™ parents used to tell them the same thing. Then they wondered why my friends decided not to have kids . . .
