It is only within the past couple of centuries that spelling was taken seriously in the English language. Up until then it was sort of optional. We still don’t have it down completely.
Though, cough, rough. Center, centre. Color, colour. Sigh!
I drank coffee by mistake when I was 4. I threw up. When I was 10, the cub scout leader served coffee at a cub scouts meeting. I threw up again. I haven’t drank coffee since. Don’t like the smell either. I guess I’m in the minority. (I LOVE Dr Pepper!)
This comic doesn’t make any sense to me and I work at Starbucks. As for spelling names, there are a lot of unusual names and even common names can be spelled different ways.

If anyone comes up with an explanation for this joke, would someone be so kind to “Reply” to me so I can see it? Thanks.

baristas can’t always spell people’s names correctly on the cups, so “Air in” is “Erin.”

Either it’s a misspelling of Erin, or someone wants to leave room for cream.
