High mileage tires (= less traction) will get low mileage too if you spin and slide them as much the racing motorcycles do.
Thereās a four block stretch of street on the edge of town where the kids come to race and spin their tires. As I look at the black tire mark stripes, I often wonder how many 1000ās of miles are in a 20 foot stripe.
Replaced the tires on my van last Spring, second time. One of the tires was the original spare, so 16 yo. Speaking of which, I need to check the pressure in the current spare.
My biggest gripe about new cars is there is no spare tire. I told the dealer that I would call him personally if I had a flat in the middle of Kansas/Oklahoma/Nebraska (places I routinely travel) because because āthe nearestā repair shop would likely be several hours away. My second biggest gripe about new cars is they have done away with the CD player (and cassette player).
Iām not sure anyone shares anything that āreally mattersā on social media. My relatives are incessantly sharing the latest meaningless meme they saw, or the restaurant they ate at last night, or ā¦
