24 years is a respectable amount of time. Then you have Snuffy Smith who’s been around for at least 90 years. Blondie and Dagwood have been around longer than I have. Bless the funnies and their marvelous artists!
The expectations are enormous. As much as I enjoy and admire their work, I wouldn’t trade places with comic strip creators or standup comedians for anything you could offer me.
