I think the pendulum has swung too far the other way. My kids are being assigned books that they would be disciplined (#metoo and all that) for reading aloud in the hallway.
If you say nothing, Charlie, you let your little sister look foolish. How will she feel when the other kids in her class laugh at her? How will she feel when she realizes her big brother was smart enough to prevent it, but didn’t?
