From the first panel it’s easy to see Danae’s fascination with all things with skulls. (Like father, like daughter.)

I got up early one frozen morning to find our trailer had no water. I went out to make sure the line had not burst. It had not. I thought, “I need to heat a pot of water (to pour on the line)…….well, that’s not gonna work.” Then, “Plus, the toilet isn’t going to flush, and I gotta…….”

I used one problem to fix the other. Worked like a charm.

very ingenious Mr. bird! You might want to think about getting some insulation for those water lines.

Beautiful covering of snow last night and I had to take HER dog (Oh I’ll groom it, feed it, and walk it) out. The dog went right in front of the condo, and I tried my best to hide all evidence in a plastic bag. Foot prints of a dog and man are dead giveaways.

Radish, teach Kate how to shovel, too!

BTW, I have not seen Victoria in a long time. Did something happen, and I missed it? Or is she just lying low for awhile?

Speaking as another occupant of the currently great white north, I’m sick of snow too. This after 3 days of above 0 temperatures, including a high of +10c, which had practically melted everything from the three feet of blizzard we had at the beginning of February. Now it’s -14c again. Sigh.

Always make friends with the neighbors who have snowblowers. Why get one yourself? They’re cranky, ornery beasts which always have air or fuel problems.

Then you have to dig out what the snow plow leaves. Just make the trains run on time.

what about that guy with the big parasol around his tree? I’m wondering if that worked for snow too?

Do you guys use carports up there?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who wants to know what happened to Victoria – I enjoyed those strips with her, and I liked how she handled Danae.

I just hope Wiley didn’t shelve her because of complaints from ranting, overgrown booger-brained boys.

So, WILEY – when will we see Victoria again? Soon?

Bird55,,,, be careful doing that. Remember the kid who licked the flagpole??? Getting something else stuck to a pipe would be much worse.

I find it amusing that Kate can comment that Dad should have pleasant thoughts when Petey needs to go. What happened to the kids helping Dad out or doing something to help Dad when he’s busy?

Snow is my friend, I drink it every summer, and we’ve been running low. My dog LOVES yellow snow, and “taste tests” every spot we pass on our walks. He thinks my Merlot is the “weird stuff”.

I don’t mind the first few snowfalls. It’s the 6th or 8th one in the month, after the six or eight the month before, that I begin to mind.

BTW, it never seems that you get enough of the weather you like, does it? Sunny days? Never enough. Warm days? Never enough! That’s the secret to enjoying winter. Learn to love cold snowy days, and I guarantee you, there won’t be enough of them……it’s so simple…

    NG49,

I dunno about the Munsters comparison. I get the one black sheep in each family, but Marilyn was on there as an extra contrast to the oddity of the rest of the Munster family. In this strip, Danae is in contrast to the rest of the world in addition to her family - it’s all about her. A better comparison is that she’s the Simon Cowell of the strip - the dark side that noone expresses, but wishes they could.

I just bought my first house a few months ago… and I already don’t like snow as much as I used to.
