The NRA should teach shooting etiquette classes.

And his excuse, I feared for my life.

Now days you can probably get 2 million people to sign a petition to stop the sun from being too hot.

Same old, same old.

Warning shot – one less opportunity to place a round on center mass.

NRA is suing San Francisco after the city labeled the organization a ‘domestic terrorist group.’ Seeing as how NRA has already been linked to Russian spies this should be an interesting discovery.

The rising cost of ammunition is what’s to blame.

The shot that killed the fellow WAS the warning shot. Remember that line about the best defense being a good offense?

And the ammosexuals are strangely absent.

Oh, the humanity!

We live in central FL. My doctor has all his patients sign a “Patient Code of Conduct.” The first thing on it is that they can’t bring a gun into his office. And yes, he’s had patients do that. What’re they gonna do? Shoot him if they don’t like his diagnosis? Futs, nucking futs.

You never ever fire a warning shot, if a Trigger is pulled it should only be to stop a deadly threat. Brandishing a Firearm to stop a threat is dangerous in it’s self , warning shots are stupid and mostly illegal per my training.

The second amendment does NOT say “…the right of the people to shoot anyone who makes them nervous no questions asked, shall not be infringed.” Though many people seem to think it does.

Sad but True fact:

A number of years back, after a Japanese Tourist was Killed by a Mugger, the Japanese government published a Video explaining the concept of “Mugging” to Japanese tourists planning to visit the USA.

It included instructions on “How to Be Mugged”: Raise your hands, move slowly, hand over your wallet, purse, jewelry and wrist watches. Try not to Scream.

Of course, as we all know, the Japanese petition lead to the banning of handguns in the U.S.

Its the American Gun Culture that finally taught Japan to behave…

I’m a member of the NRA. I joined about a year before I was considering buying a pistol, just to hear their side from ‘the horse’s mouth,’ rather than from the other end of the horse, after mass media had done their digestion…Many of the comments above are at odds with reports in the NRA’s monthly magazine AND what I was taught and learned in the concealed-carry course I took at a nearby shooting academy (more than just a range…) But I also realize that people who are afraid of weapons or ignorant about their characteristics will not believe anything that anyone says that disagrees with their point of view and beliefs, so I don’t try to change minds.

I would note that virtually all of the dangers y’all have spoken of or listed ARE the result of NOT following the basic rules of gun safety, and the deaths or injuries were NOT the fault of the gun OR the NRA, but most certainly those of the gun owners who did not follow the basic safety rules. But, hey, blame the guns… they can’t defend themselves or explain why their owners screwed up.
