Welcome to Ditto-verse. You know what might happen…….the only REAL people are Kirbee, Chic, Irving, and Wally. The others, like Duffy, Ravenscroft, Elephant guy may not be real……and don’t even know it.

Maybe Topsider experiment. There could be real mutants tossed into the whole thing and sentient AI like the agentssss™ trying to keep it all maintained… And the AI is worried what will happen to their existence if the whole thing fails.

They just might be even more worried if they hear Wally out. About the attack in his apartment and about Ravenscroft.

I do not buy that this is a Topsider experiment. They have never shown the level of technology for travel through the multiverse. If they had, they would have left this particular hell and gone elsewhere.

Assuming of course, that they were here when the war happened… which I think they were. If they were from outside the original Endtown ‘verse, why would they suffer mutations. The Lucranians didn’t. And then there is the treatment of mutants by topsiders. Murders and Mutts and Movers (flying or wheeled).

My theory is that the Eden town council knows something that the general populace does not, and to reveal that something would be to induce mass panic. Consider this exchange between Agent Edwards and Agent Kay from the first “Men In Black” movie.
