Who would leave a 2 year old alone? Anyone who wants to pee, who has another kid who is hurt or needs help with his homework, who is cooking or cleaning with nasty cleaning products⊠who needs to read the library hours online or look for a book to lend a friend⊠I have a 2 year old and her goal in life is to sneak away and get into mischief, ideally when Iâm in the middle of something hard to stop (cleaning a toilet, stirring something that will burn if I leave it for a second)âŠ. you safeguard the really harmful stuff and sometimes, for a few seconds, you live dangerously with the toothpaste!
Put it up high where Michael can reach it, but Lizzie canât. This is why I had a kid friendly area where my kids could do whatever they wanted so I could relax while they were there.
JazzyBella, you only have to blink for a 2 year-old to get into trouble. If you left the little darlinâ alone for a full minuteâŠ.well, I hate to think what she could manage wreck.
Good gravy! What two year old (or older) hasnât colored on a wall, unwound the tp roll, found mommyâs (or daddyâs?) make-up, etc?
My three year old used the toothpaste to polish the piano [only once, however ;-) ]. 25 years later there are still scratch marks in the high gloss laquer finish and sheâs a missionary in China working on a masters degree â Good memories & a great kid.
Lighten up, enjoy the strip and memories it generates & stop with the âmy kidâs would never âŠâ!
I know the feeling. Just toothpaste. I have different found memories of my two now adults. Eli in another way should help her baby with the toothpaste. When our daughter was in diapers she and her brother would play in water from a neighbor over watering. She would take diaper off and run in water having a great time.
relax, it will all wash off, and the fuzzy toilet cover goes in the laundry,, just be glad the permanent marker wasnât found,, but this was early 80âs also before washable crayons were invented as well..Those are also hard to wash off of lead based hallway and bathroom paint!
I know one child who while supposed to be napping, very quietly painted the wall beside the crib with the inside of a very poopy diaper! When Mom came in she almost had a stroke, but baby was proud. Toothpaste is easy!

And itâs amazing how quickly a two-year-old can empty it when sheâs feeling âcreative.â

Who in their right mind would leave a two year old alone for even one minute??

Itâs not âhow much is IN the tubeâ, itâs how much you (the 2 year old) can get OUT

I agree, Jazz. And Elly wonders how the house gets messy. Maybe she needs a nanny if she canât keep her eyes on her kidsâŠ

This is the answer to todayâs Calvin and Hobbes.

Of course, Calvin would be much more - uh - âcreative.â

Elly needs one of those baby leashes, and never let Elizabeth out of her sight. Yeah, that would do it. If that were possible. Which itâs not.
