No matter how intriguing the leg, Preston’s superior herd(ing) instincts help him keep his cool.

Someone told me Alyce quite likes being herded. Now I can’t get that out of my head.

Well he is not running circles around them, barking. But he has that protective instinct.

Preston, or Pres as he’s known, is ex-Special Forces. Even though those days are long in the past, he still has that suspicious, hyper-aware mindset. He feels personally responsible for every single person he accompanies anywhere. Like an old Spec Ops guy, he keeps them moving steadily toward the objective. Get there, get in, get done, and get out. Everyone.

It’s when Preston starts jumping on people’s backs and barking that some folks get annoyed…

But dealing with “The Ballard Street Ladies Sewing Circle” is like herding cats for poor Preston (who, BTW, likes to Cos-Play “Sgt. Preston of the Yukon”, but he has got to find someone other than Scooter to play “King”…)

Gets slapped quite a bit though with a rolled up newspaper when he starts sniffing.. in places where it ain’t polite to sniff.

It was due to Preston’s herding that Alyce ran into Matt. They thanked him and they’re getting married in June.
