That’s okay, ever since that boom accident, thr Commodore doesn’t remember how to salute. Or talk, or write, or come to think about it, holding the hose is the extent of the days obligations.

The Ballard Yacht Club sails every Saturday at 10 AM. That’s at the Commodore’s large bathtub on the third floor if you’ve forgotten. No motorboats allowed.

If you aren’t in uniform there is no obligation or expectatio, In fact I don’t think it is even considered a proper thing to do though I could be wrong about that.

I could swear that is Phideaux dressing up again.

I think just a nod in the general direction should suffice.

Tipping one’s hat is the “civilian salute”. I thought that is what he is doing. :)
