So……women in sports shouldn’t get equal pay until they get to the same level of injuries causing lifelong damage and/or the abrupt end of a career? Well, that might attract more fans and therefore more revenue……
While I’m a perennial partisan of women’s sports, the soccer one is a bit of a funny example. No one would think the US women’s team was more entertaining than the men’s team if the men’s team was winning World Cups and the women’s team was getting its brains beaten out. Our culture values winners.

I also think soccer and tennis are the only non-Olympic sports where women can make that argument.
