The waiter’s uniform and his beak are an interesting combination.

I remember when $6.99 bought a big fancy dinner. Now meals are advertised as Only $16.99! And that isn’t even the surf and turf. sigh

Either he’s eating in the wrong places or has very cheap electricity. But, I’ve never ordered prime rib or a seafood platter.

Where I live in Ecuador, a good dinner at a neighborhood restaurant runs about $3.50 per person. My monthly electric bill averages less than $25 per month.

Before you all rush to buy tickets to fly here, let me warn you that at this very moment, all the taxis and buses (city & provincial) are on strike to protest the government’s decesion to do away the the petrolium & gas subsidies – which, though incremental, will eventually double the price of gas and diesel at the pump! Obviously, the price of everything is going to go up. The average wage is only $400 per month.

Darn tootin! A the the grocery store, a matronly beauty was selling a credit card subscription to include a $30 discount at its first use. I said that would barely buy breakfast at a restaurant.

BC Hydro is good. Totally solarised and a home battery and having the meter run backwards is better.

Go for the electric bill. You can cook your food and warm/cool your abode.
